ROCK 2010 (Nov. 20, 21 y Dic 5)

The plan is that we will be registering volunteers beginning Sabbath, November 20 at 10 am at the Gym. It is encouraged that volunteers wear comfortable shoes and pants or jeans. Then we will go to the normal services. Lunch will be provided before heading to the activities.

The following four charities will be on Saturday afternoon:
Orlando Rescue Mission- This organization works with the basic needs of the homeless in downtown Orlando. We will be assisting with serving the dinner to homeless women and children.
Westminster Care- is a full care facilities for the elderly, patients of dementia and alhzimer's, and disabled children. We will do a crafts with elderly residents, and will also visit some of the rooms to sing songs and offer prayers on their behalf.
Mustard Seed- collects and provides household goods and furniture to needy families, specially to victims of unexpected hardships such as floods, hurricanes, and house fires. We will be helping in the sorting and organizing of their warehouse.
Street Ministry- young members of our youth ministry, and families with small children will be presenting a live program with music, testimony, and prayer to the homeless and passers by in downtown Orlando. We will also provide simple necessities such as bottled water, snacks and other items.

On Sunday, November 21 we will be working with:
Rebuilding together- an organization that helps individuals and families with the rebuilding or repairs of their homes. On this occasion we will pain the home of a disabled veteran.
B.A.S.E. Camp- works with pediatric cancer patients, their siblings and family members by providing activities, visits, and toys that can uplift their spirit during hospital stays. On Sunday we will be visiting some special children to sing, pray, and provide with basic toys and crafts materials.

On Sunday, December 5th we will be at:
The Ronald McDonald House- a free guesthouse for that aims at providing a room and meals to out of town family members while their loved ones are hospitalized for long periods of time. We will be preparing and serving lunch to the residents on that particular Sunday morning.

SEMINARIOS VIDA EN ABUNDANCIA

Son seminarios que tienen como objetivo regresar al principio Bíblico donde Dios quiere que tengamos vida y la tengamos en abundancia (Juan 10:10). Nuestro cuerpo es templo del Espíritu Santo (1Corinitios 6:19-20). Esto quiere decir que nuestro estado físico y espiritual van juntos. Al tener una relación con Jesús más y más, nacerá un deseo de cuidar toda avenida de nuestra vida para comunicarnos mejor con Dios. En Lucas 10:1-2, nos dice que Jesús envió un grupo de personas adelante de él para preparar el camino. Y dijo: "la cosecha es abundante, pero los obreros son pocos. "Hoy se puede aplicar lo mismo. Hay mucha gente alrededor de nosotros (vecinos, familias, amigos) que están cansados de la vida que llevan. ¿Quién les va a traer las buenas noticias? ¡La cosecha está lista! Estos 8 seminarios de “CREATION Health” (elegir, descanso, medio ambiente, actividad, confianza, interpersonales, perspectiva, y nutrición), con la ayuda de Dios, les ayudará a tener un balance para tener VIDA EN ABUNDANCIA física, espiritual, social, y emocionalmente. Es nuestro deseo que podamos compartir lo que aprendamos con otros.

Los seminarios serán dados por un grupo de profesionales de la salud incluyendo, Dr. Henry Barrios, Pastor Asociado; Shirley Flores, RN, MSN; y Humberto Lopez, PhD. También tendremos invitados especiales.
